Sister Harvest is an incubator.
She is born from quiet abuse, formed over time begun into a cold, white, porcelain shell.
Her insides are an enigma.
A guarded conduit between the self and physical, from emotion and assault.
Sister Harvest is not a victim, as mute though she may appear.
For in her very center grows an all too real seed,
big and brown,
wet and warm,
awaiting its sticky,
Sister Harvest is an ongoing project exploring cultural religious tropes of women as saint and martyr. She is the artist's attempt to visualise her own therapeutic journey whilst simultaneously reconstructing an empowering, female centred resurrection.
